As the owner of JB Roofing, Joe Burkhart is proud to serve the community he’s called home his entire life. A lifelong Ankeny resident and graduate of Grand View Christian School, Joe has spent more than 20 years helping homeowners and building owners throughout the Des Moines Metro protect what matters most.
Known for his honesty, work ethic, and commitment to doing things the right way, Joe has built JB Roofing on a simple philosophy: treat every customer like family and provide solutions that are in their best interest. Whether it’s a simple repair, a complete roof replacement, or a complex commercial roofing challenge, Joe enjoys finding practical solutions and helping customers make informed decisions.
When he’s not working with homeowners or solving roofing problems, you’ll likely find him riding his motorcycle, chasing the perfect golf shot, or relaxing by the firepit. Many of Joe’s best ideas and solutions come while sitting around the fire, thinking through the details of a challenging residential or commercial project.

Meet the Salesperson – Matt Lester
A lifelong resident of Indianola, Matt Lester has spent more than 25 years helping homeowners throughout Central Iowa with their roofing, siding, windows, gutters, and exterior projects. Known as a problem solver, Matt takes pride in listening to homeowners, understanding their concerns, and helping them find the solution that makes the most sense for their home and budget.
Whether it’s storm damage, an aging roof, new windows, or siding repairs, Matt believes in providing honest recommendations and treating customers the way he would want his own family treated.
When he’s not helping Central Iowans protect and improve their homes, you’ll likely find Matt with a pool cue or a fishing pole in his hand. He also enjoys spending time with his loyal sidekick, Henry, who is never far from the action.
